A couple of treats

Almost Christmas Eve!!!  Is it bad to feel more excited than your kids maybe do?  I can't help it!  Christmas is by far my very favorite time of year.  The two little packages and Christmas book are placed under their bedroom Christmas tree waiting for them when they wake up in the morning.  I know they'll be mad that they are clothes but how fun would new cute Christmas jammies be for Christmas morning?!

Dipped pretzels were done...along with a tropical tasting drink...

That is gin, orange juice, diet 7up, and a splash of grenadine.  I don't know what you'd call it but it's tasty...like a spiked punch.  Yum!  It's so cold outside but warm in the tummy with that drink.

I found these perfect pretzel bags at Michael's craft store a while back and knew they'd be perfect for Christmas time.  So easy!  Just melt almond bark, dip in the pretzel rods, sprinkle your favorite sprinkles, and bag them with a cute holiday ribbon!

Brady made the puppy chow tonight almost completely by himself.  He did a great job and I packaged it all in these cute mason jars.

9 cups chex cereal
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
about 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Melt chips, peanut butter, and butter in microwave.  In a big bowl, mix into the chex cereal until well coated.  I use a big tupperware bowl that has a lid but if you don't have one, a brown paper bag will work.    Add about 2 1/2 cups powered sugar.  Shake until well coated. Eat up or put into cute jars to give as gifts.

Nite!
